Q: Will only students from the host campus be attending?
No. Students from other campuses are always welcome as long as the host institution approved (they always do). Most of the schools that we talk with ask if they can invite students from nearby campuses, and of course we always say yes.
Q: Why would a campus want to host a Rehab Graduate Fair if they have a graduate program?
Schools with graduate programs in PT, AT, or OT have asked if they could host a fair. What they tell us is having the fair on campus opens the conversation about studying PT, AT, OT, etc. with students. We also hear that some pre-med students attend because pre-med is proving to be harder than they expected, and they’re now exploring their options.
Q: Can my campus host a Rehab Graduate Fair?
Yes. We have our campuses that we love to have events on, but if you are interested in hosting a future fair email Amber at Amber@RehabGraduateFairs.com.
Q: What if a campus has a pre-health fair in addition to the Rehab Graduate Fairs?
A: Pre-health fair are great, but are often filled with pre-med students. Pre-health students (and more specifically, pre-rehab science students) get lost in the ocean of pre-med students. The Rehab Graduate Fairs are specific to rehabilitation students hoping to get into a graduate program in PT, AT, OT, or other rehab program. So a campus may have a pre-health fair, which you should consider attending, but know that every student who walks in the door at a Rehab Graduate Fair is a potential student for your program.
Q: Why is it called “Rehab Graduate Fairs”?
Rehab is short for “rehabilitation” as in “rehabilitation sciences”. The Rehab Graduate Fairs are specific to undergraduate students trying to get into a graduate program in the rehabilitation sciences, but calling it the “Rehabilitation Graduate Fairs” was a long name. Rehab Graduate Fairs also has a good sound to it.
